There will be four days of tastings in the main pavilions that represent the Italian regions, from the far north to the far south, also for lovers of organic wines, as every year also this year there will be a wide choice. Speaking of organic wines, one can not help but think of healthier wines for this reason also this year there will be among the wide choice of white, rosé, sparkling and red wines also wines called Low Histamines dedicated to food intolerant to histamines and sensitive to wines.
There will also be the opportunity to taste Vegan and Biodynamic wines.

The beauty of this huge and historic wine fair is not only in being able to meet hundreds, thousands of wineries in one place and be able to taste and select new wines, but also in the possibility of meeting professionals in the wine sector such as importers, distributors and journalists from all over the world. Among them, especially on Sunday and Monday you can also meet many wine lovers and restaurateurs who have come specifically in search of new products.

For me this year will be the eighteenth time I will participate and the second as a correspondent for your favorite magazine, “WineToday”.
Also this year I will be searching, among the hundreds, thousands of stands, for the best Italian wines not only for the increasingly demanding palates of Indian wine lovers but also for those from all over the world, even if in recent years I have increasingly specialized in the needs of the Asian continent.
The research will be dedicated to you my dear readers, my purpose will be to identify the best denominations linked to their respective territories of origin but also the best qualities linked to increasingly healthier wines.
In the last few days, many friends, professionals in the wine sector, importers and distributors have called me from India, but also from North America and China to inform me that they will be present at Vinitaly and that the research will be focused mostly on new brands and small and medium-sized wineries with the best quality/price ratio. Wines that will go to the best restaurants in the world.
Speaking of catering, it should never be forgotten that a good wine must always be paired with an excellent dish. In the years I spent in Asia between India, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Cambodia, Singapore and Thailand, I discovered how Italian wines can pair excellently with many dishes of Asian cuisine. For example, I find the pairing of Chicken Byriani with a Valpolicella or with a Barbera D’Alba delicious, or for example a Moscato D’Asti Docg with some spicy dishes of Chinese cuisine.

Being able to participate in Vinitaly is also an excellent and good excuse to visit the beautiful city of Verona that in those days will be filled with other smaller events of wine and art and music and thousands of lovers of the “sweet nectar of the gods” for this reason I recommend you book a table in advance in the many excellent restaurants of this city if you do not want to risk being left standing.
Verona has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its urban peculiarities and for its artistic and cultural heritage. Its symbol is the Arena and it is known throughout the world for William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Home to a university and an important hub for logistics and intermodal exchange through the Quadrante Europa, industry plays a key role in the city’s economy, as do trade fair and cultural tourism.
The town of Verona is located in a central position with respect to the municipal territory, which is characterized by a notable heterogeneity of landscapes due to the particular geographical location and the altitudinal range, which goes from 30 meters of the plain to over 600 of the piedmont area where many areas have been dedicated to the cultivation of vines and the production of some of the most important wines in Italy such as Valpolicella, Recioto, Amarone, Soave, Bardolino, Lugana, Custoza and many others.
I recommend staying a few more days after the Vinitaly fair so you can visit the beautiful Garda Lake which is only about 30 kilometers from Verona.
See you soon in Verona, at Vinitaly 2025, you will easily recognize me, I’m the one with the hat and a good glass of wine in my hand
