White wine fans rejoice. A new study suggests that white wine is just as good for your heart as red wine. Apparently, white wine just doesn’t get enough credit! Although it’s proven that grapes’ skin is high in antioxidants and nutrients, it’s recently been discovered that the pulp (core) of grapes is just as healthy for you! Two glasses of white wine per day can reduce the risk of heart disease by at least 25 percent.
Research reveals that white wine can protect against some forms of cancer, especially bowel cancer. It contains flavonoids that have antioxidant properties – just like red wine, which helps prevent cancer. But that’s not all. In 2002, it was discovered that white wine protects cells from breast cancer just as effectively as red wine.
